Three Ceramic Coating Tiers
Ceramic coating is one of our two biggest focuses at Wasatch Auto Detail, alongside full detailing. A cured coating bonds to the clear coat itself and repels water, road salt and UV for years instead of weeks, which matters here: Salt Lake Valley vehicles face both heavy winter road brine and intense summer sun in the same twelve months.
Three tiers: Wash and Ceramic at $599, 5 Year Shield at $1,199, and 10 Year Armor at $1,499. Every coating is applied personally by Jax after full paint prep, never over paint that hasn't been corrected first.

Why Ceramic Coating Makes Sense Here
Salt Lake City's water supply runs hard enough that rinse water left to dry on bare paint deposits mineral scale, and over a winter of road brine that scale etches clear coat that was never protected. A cured ceramic coating sheds both instead of letting them sit. Every coating starts with the same paint correction we do in our Exterior Detailing packages, because a coating only locks in whatever the paint looks like underneath it.

How is pricing for larger vehicles handled?
Prices above are for a standard sedan. Small SUV or crossover adds $25, a mid-size SUV adds $50, a large SUV or truck adds $75, and an XL, oversize or specialty vehicle adds $100. We confirm the exact total when we see the vehicle or hear its year, make and model.
How long does ceramic coating actually last?
5 Year Shield and 10 Year Armor are rated for those timeframes with reasonable care; actual longevity depends on how the vehicle is washed and stored. We recommend an annual inspection on the 10 Year Armor tier to confirm it's holding.
Do you correct the paint first?
Yes, every tier includes paint correction before the coating is applied. A coating applied over swirl marks or oxidation just locks those in permanently, so we never skip this step.
How long does the appointment take?
6 to 7 hours depending on the tier and the vehicle's paint condition going in. It's a full-day appointment, so we schedule these in advance.
